GameJam

In 2023, I initiated a project called ‘Gnomebodies Home‘ to develop UX flows for O3DE. This project encompasses various elements such as animations, models, selection boxes, character tooling, physics, and vegetation.

As I tackled each problem, I realized it was more efficient to build upon existing work rather than start anew for each use case. This approach allowed me to expand the current testing environment to address multiple challenges within a single platform. By extending an existing Game Jam project, I’ve created a consistent, open-source solution that has the potential to evolve into an engaging game.

Currently, I’ve released an early draft of this work. However, I’ve been continuously developing and refining the project internally. When the time is right, I’ll determine how to release a final version.

Below are several examples of work created for this project. These samples should serve as a starting point for further evaluation and development in this area.

Phase 1: Grass, collision, and grass

Phase 2: Character creation

Phase 3: World building

Phase 5: Motion, animation, and movement
